Wholesale Colored Flour Sack Towels — Multiple Colors, Bulk Tea Towels 27″×27″

Original price $3.99
Current price $3.15
SKU MKTW-27x27-Gray
Color: Gray

The same heavyweight 130 thread count, 100% cotton flour sack fabric as our white and natural towels — now in six colors: blue, gray, black, red, rose taupe, and plaza taupe. At 3 oz each, these are substantial, highly absorbent, lint-free blanks that perform identically to their white counterparts in every way except one: they arrive with a color already built in.

For decoration businesses, colored flour sack towels open up a different creative vocabulary. Embroidery pops on a colored ground. Screen printing with specialty inks produces striking contrast. HTV in bright colors reads dramatically against black or red. For gift brands and boutique retailers, a colored towel is a finished-looking product right out of the bag — no printing required to make a visual statement. Need white or natural (unbleached)? See our white & natural wholesale page →

Price per piece drops automatically as your quantity increases — from $3.15 for a single towel down to $1.75 each at 3,000 pieces. No minimum order, no discount codes — just select your quantity above and the price adjusts. For pallet quantities, see below.

Available Colors
Six Colors — Each With Its Own Use Case
Gray
The neutral among the colors. Pairs with virtually any design palette without competing. A natural choice for embroidery, monogramming, and brands that want color without loud contrast.
Black
Maximum contrast for bright embroidery and screen printing. A premium, high-end look — the choice for upscale restaurant service, luxury gifting, and designs where bold colors need to pop against a dark ground.
Red
The festive standout. The obvious choice for holiday seasonal lines, sports team branding, and any design that calls for energy and warmth. White and gold embroidery contrasts beautifully on red.
Plaza Taupe
A rich, earthy brown-taupe — grounded and versatile. Works well for farmhouse, rustic, and natural aesthetic brands. A popular choice for embroidery studios working in neutral palettes and fall or harvest seasonal lines.
Rose Taupe
A warm, muted rose-brown tone — a sophisticated neutral that appeals to home décor brands, floral embroidery work, and gift lines with a feminine or artisan aesthetic. Pairs beautifully with cream and ivory thread.
Blue
Bold, versatile base. Works well for sports branding, coastal themes, and any design that calls for a strong color statement. White and yellow embroidery reads cleanly on blue.
For Print & Decoration Businesses
Decorating on Colored Flour Sack Towels
Colored fabric changes what works best and what to watch for. Here's an honest guide to decorating on each method:
Screen Printing
The most popular decoration method for colored towels. Plastisol inks sit on top of the fabric and produce vivid, opaque color that reads boldly on any ground — including black. White ink underbase allows any color to show true on dark fabric.

Embroidery
Colored fabric is where embroidery truly shines — bright thread colors pop dramatically against a dark or saturated ground. Black and red are especially popular for embroidery gifting. The 130 thread count cotton holds a hoop cleanly without distortion.

Heat Transfer Vinyl (HTV)
HTV bonds cleanly to the cotton surface and reads with sharp edges against any color ground. Metallic, glitter, and foil HTV varieties produce especially striking results on black and red — a popular combination for seasonal and gift products.

DTF — Direct-to-Film
DTF transfers include a white base layer by default, so full-color artwork reads accurately on any colored ground — no additional setup required. A growing option for small print shops that want multi-color results on colored fabric without the setup cost of screen printing.

DTG / Direct-to-Fabric
DTG on colored fabric requires a white ink underbase printed first, then the color artwork on top — which adds cost and press time compared to printing on white. Results can be excellent, but the economics work best at lower quantities where screen printing setup costs don't apply.
Note: White underbase required on dark colors — factor this into your production cost.

Personalization & Monogramming
Colored towels are a premium gifting choice for monogram and personalization businesses — a colored ground makes the finished product look more considered and gift-ready than a plain white blank. Gray and black are particularly popular for upscale monogram gifting.

Who Buys Colored Tea Towels in Bulk
Gift & Boutique Brands
Colored towels are a ready-made visual statement — gift brands use them for seasonal lines, holiday collections, and color-coordinated sets. Red for Christmas, black for upscale gifting, blue for coastal or sports themes.
Screen Print Studios
The most common professional decoration method on colored fabric. Studios buy colored blanks specifically for runs where the colored ground is part of the design brief — sports teams, branded merchandise, seasonal collections.
Embroidery Studios
Colored flour sack towels are a top embroidery blank — the heavy cotton holds a hoop cleanly and thread colors pop on a saturated or dark ground. Studios buy by the case for monogram, floral, and custom text work.
Restaurants & Hospitality
Black towels in particular are a hallmark of upscale restaurant service — used for guest service and presentation precisely because they don't show wear and keep a polished appearance through heavy use.
Sports & Event Merchandise
Blue and red are the colors of more sports teams and civic organizations than any other. Branded towels in team colors — screen printed or embroidered — are a perennial merchandise item bought in bulk for events and retail.
Seasonal & Holiday Sellers
Red towels are the obvious festive choice for holiday collections. Gift shops, craft sellers, and seasonal brands stock up on red in Q3 every year. Gray and blue carry year-round appeal for everyday color-coordinated kitchen lines.
Product Specifications
Every Detail — Colored Flour Sack Towels
Dimensions: 27″ × 27″
True square cut, consistent across every color and every batch. All four sides are finished with a clean hem. Same dimensions as our white and natural 27×27 — mix colors in a single order with confidence.
Thread Count: 130 · Weight: 3 oz
At 130 thread count and 3 oz per towel, these are the heavyweight version of the flour sack format — denser, more absorbent, and more substantial in the hand than lighter flour sack alternatives. The same spec across all six colors.
Material: 100% Cotton
No polyester, no blends. Pure cotton throughout — highly absorbent, lint-free, and compatible with screen printing, embroidery, HTV, DTF, and DTG (with underbase). The cotton construction is what makes these towels colorfast through repeated washing.
Corner Hanging Loop
Every colored towel includes a corner hanging loop — positioned at one corner of the square for convenient hook storage or air drying. Consistent placement across all colors and batches.
Pre-Washed & Pre-Shrunk
Pre-washed before shipping — dimensions are stable and the color is set. Decorate straight out of the bag without pre-washing on your end. As with all 100% cotton, minimal additional shrinkage is possible over time.
Colorfast Construction
These are fast colors — the dye is permanently set and will not fade with normal washing. Color integrity is maintained through repeated wash cycles. Machine wash warm, tumble dry low. Do not bleach.
Care Instructions
Pre-washed and pre-shrunk — colors are set. Towels are ready to decorate or use straight out of the bag. Machine wash warm · Tumble dry low · Do not bleach — bleach will affect the color · No fabric softener · Iron low heat if needed.

Yes — you can mix blue, gray, black, red, rose taupe, and plaza taupe in a single order. You can also mix colored towels with white or natural variants in the same order. It's the same fabric and same dimensions across all colors, so there's no minimum per color — order exactly what you need.
Screen printing is the most popular method for colored towels — Plastisol inks sit on top of the fabric and produce vivid, opaque results on any ground including black. Embroidery is the second most popular — bright thread colors pop dramatically on a colored ground. HTV and DTF also work very well. DTG requires a white ink underbase on colored fabric, which increases cost and press time — screen printing is more economical for larger runs.
